Our band's philosophy is simple.
We compete against one band, and that band is us, the NAHS Jacket Regiment.  The overall objective is to strive for excellence and to perform one's best.  Everyday improvement of personal standards of performance is our driving philosophy.  We achieve this through desire, discipline, and dedication.

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, life to everything."  Plato

Band Director:
Mr Chuck Deen

Welcome to North Augusta High School Bands!  I am currently starting my 31st year of Instrumental Music Education.  After graduating from North Augusta Senior High in 1982, my educational path took me to the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC where I received a Bachelor of  Music Education in 1986.  Instrumental Music Education is a daily adventure that I consider to be a thrilling experience!

One of the most popular national publications covering bands and orchestras is School Band and Orchestra magazine, and for the last two decades a top annual feature article – “50 Directors Who Make a Difference” – has honored the nation’s elite band directors.
This year, the “50 Directors” article includes one of Aiken County’s own in North Augusta High School Band Director Chuck Deen. The article was published in the magazine’s December edition.
According to the magazine, Mr. Deen was selected from nearly 900 nominations. Honorees were nominated by “students, former and current colleagues, band parents, administrators, and former band directors.”
